NEW & RETURNING STAFF PROBATION POLICY

When a student worker is hired, an automatic probationary period is mandated. This probationary period will last for the duration of the semester. During this time, any student worker who violates the Departments’ policies and procedures may be immediately terminated.

The goal of the Miron Student Center is to assist the staff in creating professional skills needed for the workforce.  At times, it might become advantageous for the management team to create an action plan for the student staff member.  This plan allows an employee to improve their areas of weakness in an allotted time period. If no positive changes occur during this period, employees may be terminated.  An appeal may be filed at the end of this process.
